Angus Beef Meatball Subs

3 or 4 long sub buns lightly buttered 

One package of 44th St. Angus Beef Meatballs

4 slices of tomato for each sub

olives 

any 2 different kinds of pickles. This can be dill or sweet or hot pickled peppers or vegetables

Finely chopped red onion

2 tablespoon of relish or salsa. This could be green relish, corn relish or salsa or any kind you have on hand 

Mustard This can be hot mustard, Dijon or regular yellow mustard

3 slices of cheese. This can be cheddar cheese mozzarella cheese, or any cheese you have on hand

You can make a combination of finely chopped onions peppers and tomatoes together as a relish without dressing

To make the shredded lettuce, shred half a head of lettuce finely. Place in a bowl and pour 5 tablespoons of vinegar over it, mix it through well Let stand for 15 minutes.

drain vinegar from lettuce in a sieve. return to bowl. Mix a half cup of mayonnaise a quarter cup of milk a teaspoon of salt and add black pepper in a measuring cup, black pepper may be left out if you prefer. The mixture should be pourable from the measuring cup. If it isn't, add another quarter cup of milk slowly until it becomes like thin salad dressing. Pour over the lettuce and let stand for 15 minutes in bowl. 

Microwave meatballs to thaw them 

Put all ingredients in the sub buns add more mayonnaise if you prefer.   Put subs on a cookie sheet covered by aluminium foil to protect it on aluminium foil  to protect the cookie sheet 

Heat in a 375 degree oven for 5 to 8 minutes.

Each family member can make their own sub with their choices before baking.

Let cool slightly before eating. The cheese will be hot.
